This year, due to Covid-19, UCP is holding a virtual cooking competition instead of their usual live event at the Civic Arena. Teams will still be raising money and competing for the best tasting chili!
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

We are the Downey and Bennett Chili Connection! My sister Candy Bennett and I ....started competing in the UCP Chili Cookoff in 2002! We have chosen to support UCP because of the amazing work this agency does to help others live out their dreams! On a personal basis, I have witnessed the remarkable work of UCP through multiple stories from friends and through a magical preschool experience with a grandson! This year will be our 20th year of consecutively participating in the UCP Chili COOKOFF! We have always made this a family event to show love for others and to support our amazing community! I lost my beautiful daughter in 2018, as she was extremely passionate about supporting UCP! This year we are recognizing her generous nature by asking you...to donate in the name of THE LACRISA CHALLENGE... to show others love by supporting the 2021 UCP CHILI COOKOFF! Please consider being a part of our 2021 team! A one dollar donation can quickly add up to literally help a child speak and/or walk. UCP NEEDS your help!
